Abstract
Abstract
A 35 year old female was referred for a surgical consultation as a recurrent abdominal introduction
of foreign body (needles) inside her body with a history of a psychological problem which was
treated first with conservative treatment and was referred to a psychiatrist who diagnosed her as an
unusual case of Munchausen syndrome by proxy. Later the patient presented as an acute abdomen
and underwent surgery.
